COVID Fatigue gripped me by the brain and heart today.
Aren’t you sick and tired of waiting to be sick and tired?
So I went there.
You know where.
The lonely isle of ” woeisme”. Throwing discipline to the wind, I headed to the kitchen to devour my feelings.
But on the way to the kitchen I passed this decorative plaque and stopped dead in my tracks.
Thankful
Grateful
Blessed
And just like that, I came back.
For I am thankful for my family, my friends, my profession, my faith, my vision…
I am grateful to all of the ones who put themselves at risk every day to help others. I’m grateful that I have a home and money to pay my bills. I’m grateful that my dog didn’t have cancer like the doc feared.
And I am truly, truly, blessed beyond belief.
Three Little Words. Thankful, Grateful, Blessed.
Powerful
Indeed

Yes, indeed. These are three powerful words!
I know the feeling, by the way. Dealing with this pandemic for months—when will it end?—is beyond tiresome.
Thanks for the pick-me-up, Angie! Blessings.

Glad so many of is are in the same boat. Normalizes the feelings. But I feel the importance and being thankful often pulls me out of myself!

I was glad to get to this today instead of the day it posted. It addressed precisely my mood and precisely the antidote for it.
